Just a short blog to touch on a couple of the topics discussed at the Inman Connect 2010. Lots of discussion about the future of real estate in North America.

Well I have finally had the time to sit down and collect my thoughts on my first Inman Connect in San Fransisco. This event was truly amazing and kudos to everyone at Inman News for an amazing group of speakers, vendors, and being able to attract some of the most interesting agents from across North America. It will take me many blog postings to fully described all that I learned at this event however a few of the topics seemed to resonate in my mind. Firstly technology has become as much a part of our business as salesmanship, secondly we really should be thankful for our organized MLS system being provided by CREA (Canadian Real Estate Association). I will be posting many future blogs with my views regarding Technology, MLS, and the future of real estate from what I have learned both good and bad in the American and Canadian Models.
I wanted to first touch on the technology that was at the base of the Inman Connect. Hosted in the heart of Silicone Valley the connect did not disappoint in the sheer numbers of vendors, providers and tech minds in one room was amazing. I love also how Inman was on top of it all with their Inman SF app for iPhone and iPad keeping all content and events at our fingertips. Anyway as I was saying I really do feel that regardless of the cost technology providers and self proclaimed tech based companies make every effort to bring to the table cool applications to convey their message in a relevant format to their users in this case the participants. Business and technology leaders adopt first and build applications for profit later. No one out their who knows the direction technology or business is going over the next 10 years all we can do if we want to stay in the mix is maintain relevance and keep on top of the growing trends.
