Social media savvy farmers may seem like an odd mix however to me it makes perfect sense and in today’s post I want to explain why. Farmers are taking their message online via Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube and it is a message the general public is interested in.
I was recently asked to speak to the Association of Saskatchewan Realtors at their AGM on a panel discussing blogging as it relates to my business and my life. The interesting thing about speaking on a topic is that it really does force you to examine the important question of why you take time out of your busy day to share your life story with others. I really had not put that much thought into it until now, but after this presentation I have more clarity on the topic of personality branding, lifestyle branding and niche marketing. Just wanted to take a minute to update some of the current events from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) AGM that I just returned from in Ottawa April 2 and 3, 2011. This year’s discussion, debate and focus was on a proposed Data Distribution Facility designed to ensure that our data, trademarks and marketing options online are not only accurate, but members’ intellectually property is protected and displayed in a positive manner.
